In my experience, Giacom’s CEO is very good at reassurance and very poor at follow-through.
When I’ve raised problems, he has defended the company, acknowledged the issues and promised changes. Those changes haven’t happened. When I’ve followed up to ask about progress, I’ve had no response.
The one thing he does quickly is get in touch when criticism appears in public, but that contact hasn’t led to anything either.
Given his background at Daisy and now the wider Giacom group, I expected better. If you deal with Giacom, get any commitments in writing, with dates attached. Don’t take a friendly phone call as a sign that anything will change but then again, emails are not worth the 0 and 1s they’re transmitted with.
