Friends in better places.

I had worked at Giacom before it was Giacom, before it was “DWS”. I led a team and dealt with customers every single day and worked in the overall industry for 15 years if not longer.

There was no support, I needed a bigger team and I was told to make do. We would suffer irate partners because of response times because upper management would not invest in the team despite all the metrics and KPIs saying we were failing those partners.

Then we got acquired. It wasn’t so much who you were or what you did, it was who could replace you and who was best friends with the management already incoming.

I was given marching orders, along with a fat payout to keep quiet like so many others.

Whilst my team struggled because of the poor support and lack of investment in to staff, I was validated by hearing that after the new manager took over the role, who was meant to be “more” experienced, partner waits increased 10 fold, some waiting 3-4 weeks for responses on cases.

This was no way to treat someone and indirectly treat your customers.
